Today in this article we are going to explain what is the reason behind Indo-China border tensions. Why? Both the countries are on the verge of war. why China is intruding in Indian territory.
Disputed border area:
We all know that the border between Pakistan occupied kashmir which is called as LOC which means (Line of control). But the border between China occupied ladkah and India is called as LAC which means (Line of actual control). Now the point is that there is a critical difference between LOC and LAC. LOC ( Line of control) is clearly defined border. Both India and Pakistan knows where the boundaries of LOC are. But in case of LAC is not clearly defined. There is a term which has been used that is LAC is Demarcated (which means not clearly defined). Both India and China have their own different perception of the location of LAC. Because both the countries claims their different territories therefore it has become a overlapping territory between them as you can see in the image. The blue line is the Indian claimed line and red line is the China claimed line. The area that lies between them is called as grey area. The grey area is called as ADPA which is called as (Area of differing percaption)

The present situation:

Pangong lake |
If you look into the map there are pointed edges protruding in the northern side of the pangong lake these pointed edges are called as "Fingers of the lake". Starting from the left/west side these Fingers have been named as Finger1 , Finger2 , Finger3 ,Finger4 and so on. In Finger8 area India claims that LAC lies there and In Finger2 area China claims that LAC lies there. So the area between Finger2 and Finger8 is the grey area. According to the sources it has been said that on 4-5th may Chinese soldiers were reached till Finger5 while patrolling and it lead to conflict. Next conflict happened when Chinese soldiers reached Finger4 while patrolling it lead to stone pelting and fist fights which had lead to many injuries more than 11 Indian troops were injured.
The conflict between two countries have been seen in three different areas 1. Pangong lake 2. Galwan river valley in Ladakh 3. Hot springs near Konga.
1. Pangong lake: The spurs that moves downwards towards he pangong lake from the mountains. The land between Finger4 to Finger8 had remained unoccupied till now and there had had been no soldiers there. There were only patrols by both the sides. Right now China has physically occupied it and have stationed themselves there. There are around 4000-5000 chinese soldiers have came with their heavy guns and trenches. India has claimed that the gray area on LAC has been occupied by china.

Galwan valley |
2. Galwan valley: The situation in galwan river is the worst. The area between Finger8 and Finger4 is tiny area which does not dominate any area further and the occupation on which does not yield a lot of benefits to the Chinese on the military front. But they are going to reap a huge benefit on the military front in galwan. By coming into the galwan valley and stationed themselves in galwan heights. The Chinese intruding in galwan valley has a huge drawback on Indian side.

Hot springs |
3. Hot springs: According to Indian army sources the region of hot springs have been in sources because the Chinese soldiers wants to disturb and distract Indian soldiers and divert their focus because capturing hot springs region doesn't make any change in benefits of China because this region is not too big and it does not have any military benefits as in the case of galwan valley.
There are still talks going on a militarily general level. China has back off 2.4 km from galwan valley. This data is according to the top government sources which has been objected by many experts. But still the actual dispute has been hidden from the Indian public. Because it will created a huge pressure on government on doing things like surgical strikes and bombings.
